The Great Migration, LJ to Dreamwidth version

Given recent events, it's time for me to get the rest of my useful stuff off of LiveJournal and over here. Wish me luck, eh?

I did an import four years ago, so I have all my older stuff, but there are a few things in the gap that I'll be bringing over one at a time. You might want to mute me for a bit, unless you're up for seeing things from the past go flickering by. The public ones will probably be nattering about art, filk lyrics, and so forth.

You can auto import! It will be seamless from the DW side and not show up in the feed. (That said, if you only want occasional posts, doing them manually may be better.)

I have done this thing now. Yay!

And I don't expect to be posting anything on LJ any more. I am keeping my LJ and leaving one post there, which has a link to my Etsy shop, because I still get significant traffic from that link. Other than that, here I am. (Which I hope means I can keep up a little better with reading your journal, among others.)

DW will auto-crosspost stuff to LJ if you so desire. I've been doing it ever since I started DW'ing, and I'll probably continue to do so as long as the capability exists.

Yes, it can get quiet (I'm bad about that, myself) but suspect that will be changing with the nice influx of people such as yourself (decided a PM would be too odd from utter stranger but Elise could introduce us... we have much overlap in interest -- though with me it's French enthusiastically!)...
