Silly body continues silly. Hurting back ate my day. And yet, I managed to get filters ordered finally, and some magnetic clasps for someone who needs them, so that's something. Also had zoom tea (or whichever the meeting method we found that finally worked) and passed along some tidbits of musing on historical things I had been watching/reading that turned out to be possibly very useful to the person to whom they were given. Being useful makes me happy.

No workbench, though. Silly body. Tomorrow I will try again. Now, though, gotta be sleep. I set out to go to sleep two hours ago, but then last minute thoughts distracted me (see above for things that got ordered) and so here we are, not yet snoozing. But I go, I go!

It was indeed exceedingly useful in about five directions. (I did not attempt implementation yesterday because my brain hit "Nope", but maybe today.)

I also got much more sleep last night, and I am hoping you did too.

Insomnia

So, two things that have helped me with insomnia, for what they are worth:

1) box breathing. https://www.realsimple.com/health/mind-mood/box-breathing-technique. I do it when I've lain down to sleep and put the light out. After doing about 5 rounds of this, I breathe in for 3 and out for 5 counts continuously and generally it stops the squirrelly thoughts and lets me get to sleep. If I get up in the night I do the box breathing again when I get back into bed.

2) If this doesn't work I take an anti-histamine. I find that nearly all anti-histamine tablets or syrups make me drowsy, and this often works for me.
