The problem with grief is that when it knocks, you're always home.
If you are going through grief too, I send you love and an autumn Minneapolis sunbeam.

Date: 2023-09-26 06:24 am (UTC)Thanks. Last month was not kind to my family, and gathering to mourn our two most recent losses also resurfaced a lot of feelings about my uncle Jared - who I wish I could have introduced to Mike when they were both with us.
Holding you in my heart too.

Date: 2023-09-27 10:26 am (UTC)My aunt Ellen once made my uncle Phil drive me behind the movie theater in...I think it was White Bear? "There, you see," she said triumphantly. I did see. It was the most perfect combination of fall colors she had found in one tiny cluster of trees. We sat in the car and contemplated it. Then we drove on.
We buried her on Friday.
September takes a lot from us.
